Privacy notice

We, Kaldrix and its global affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively "Kaldrix"), understand that your privacy is important to you. We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal data. This privacy notice describes how we handle and protect your personal data (the "Privacy Notice") when we collect it through Kaldrix's websites, applications, and digital assets (collectively, our "Sites") and through our externally facing business activities, such as service offerings, events, surveys, and communications, when we interact with you and collect data from you for use by and on behalf of Kaldrix (i.e., when Kaldrix is acting as a data controller or similar term under applicable privacy law).
1. Information We Collect
Kaldrix collects personal data in the course of its business activities, including in connection with some client services. We also collect personal data on certain areas of the Sites when you register for or apply for jobs through the Kaldrix Talent Portal, create a user profile, register for Kaldrix newsletters and alerts, sign up for conferences and events, and/or participate in public user posting areas (such as bulletin boards, discussion forums, and surveys).
The personal data collected varies and may include information that you provide, such as your name, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number, and background information required to apply for a job. We may also automatically collect information about the devices you use to interact with our Sites. The information we automatically collect may include IP address, device identifier, web browser, and browsing information collected through cookies, web beacons, pixels, clear gifs, and other similar technologies on our Sites.
2. Use of Information
Kaldrix uses your personal data to fulfill your requests for information, process your requests to participate in conferences and events, personalize content that you view or receive on the Sites, evaluate and improve our services, distribute newsletters and alerts to you, recruit and evaluate job applicants, analyze the Sites’ performance and functioning, prevent fraud, enforce our terms of use, comply with all applicable laws and corporate reporting obligations, enforce Kaldrix's agreements, and accomplish other purposes you may initiate or request. We may keep any of your personal data on file and use it to contact you.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Our processing of your personal data for the purposes mentioned above is based: in part, on our legitimate business interests in evaluating and managing our relationship with you, in promoting our services and protecting our Sites; in part, on your consent, for instance if you create a user profile or register for newsletters; and in part, to comply with applicable laws and regulatory obligations to which we are subject.
4. Data Sharing and Transfer
Kaldrix is a global organization, and your personal data may be transferred across international borders. Kaldrix may disclose personal data to third-party service providers and vendors performing services on our behalf (such as cloud hosting, IT services, and marketing support). Kaldrix uses contractual obligations and internal controls to ensure these providers protect your personal data. We will not intentionally disclose or transfer your personal data to third parties without your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, whether for such third parties' own marketing purposes or otherwise, except as required in connection with corporate audits, legal proceedings, business transactions, or safety protocols.
5. Data Retention
Kaldrix retains personal data, as necessary, for the duration of the relevant business relationship. We may also retain personal data for longer than the duration of the business relationship should we need to retain it to protect ourselves against legal claims, use it for analysis or historical record-keeping, or comply with our information management policies and schedules. If you request that we delete your personal data, Kaldrix will make reasonable attempts to delete all instances of the information in their entirety.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our Sites may use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons and pixels) to track and manage our Sites. A cookie is a small data file that is placed on your hard drive when you visit certain websites. We use cookies to remember you and your preferences, and to track user traffic patterns. You may refuse to accept cookies by activating the setting on your browser which allows you to refuse the setting of cookies.
7. Data Security
Kaldrix has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security to protect personal data from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Only authorized Kaldrix personnel and third-party service providers are provided access to personal data, and these employees and service providers are required to treat this information as confidential. Despite these precautions however, Kaldrix cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will not obtain access to your personal data.
8. Your Rights
Where granted by local law, including but not limited to the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 (DPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you may have the right to request access to the personal data that we have collected about you for the purposes of reviewing, modifying, or requesting deletion of the data. You may also have the right to request a copy of the personal data that we have collected about you and to have any inaccuracies in that data corrected, or to object to our processing of your personal data.
